Five policemen injured when villagers attack them
Jehanabad (Bihar), July 21 (PTI) Five policemen were injured when angry locals including women attacked them with stone and brickbats at Kinari Mushartoli in Bihar’s Jehanabad district tonight, police said. Sources said a police team led by Kalpa police out-post in-charge Srikant Kumar went to the village to raid an illegal liquor shop. Angry locals including women suddenly attacked the policemen with stone and brickbats to protect the liquor vendor, sources said. Five policemen were injured in the attack, sources said adding policemen later somehow managed to chase the crowd away. The injured policemen received first aid at government hospital here, sources said.
