Pramod Bhasin to step down as Genpact CEO
Pramod Bhasin has stepped down as the CEO of Genpact and Tiger Tyagarajan will take over the reins of the company. CNBC-TV18’s Sunanda Jayaseelan reports.
Tiger Tyagarajan was the CEO of Genpact from 1999 to 2002. Genpact has scheduled a management call, a 30 minutes conference call this evening starting at about 7:15 pm or so.
Genpact has been doing quite well recently. They reported quite good Q1 numbers.
During Tyagarajan reign as Genpact CEO the company was an independent. Tyagarajan had joined Genpact from GE Capital, which is one of the stakeholders of Genpact at the moment.
He took on several roles; he was a CEO at a certain point and then post that he handed over the reign to Pramod. Since then, Pramod and Tyagarajan have worked very closely.
Sources say Bhasin could be non-executive vice chairman of Genpact.
